Kellynn Potsubay, a second-grader at Dassa McKinney Elementary School in the Moniteau School District, was recognized for an act of kindness. Meal baskets for 40 Seneca Valley families in need were created from donations given by Seneca Valley High School faculty and members of the Cranberry Sunrise, Cranberry Noon and Zelienople Rotary Clubs. Coordinating with Cranberry Township Public Works and Cranberry Township supervisors, members of Girl Scout Troop 26667 completed their “Get Moving Journey” by painting the recycling symbol on 35 cans for Graham Park, North Boundary Park and Cranberry Township Park. Emma Kovarik, a Cranberry Township Girl Scout, won The Great Birthday Bake: A Kids’ Cookie Competition and received an apron and a huge cupcake prize.
