NATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK
Adams Township first-graders actually “aim for the moon” in developing their reading skills. Cathy Strobel and Mike Hoffman are shown before the bulletin board used as an aid. The words on the path to the moon are analyzed according to vowel sounds, consonant sounds and blends. The students are taught by Mrs. Edna Feil, building head at Adams Township Elementary School, in November 1964. National Education Week runs this year from Monday through Friday.
