To commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, the church hosts the Butler Area Lutheran Ministries Festival Worship Service for All Saints’ Day at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. William Chris Boerger, secretary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, leads the service. There is a reception after the service.

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, has a bonfire from 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11 to honor veterans. The evening includes a patriotic-pumpkin decorating contest, a cemetery scavenger hunt, a commemorative balloon release and food.
The church collects items for hygiene kits for disaster victims until Nov. 19.
