The T.J. Haaland & Co. opened its Eclectic Emporium store this month in Butler’s Clearview Mall.
The business was moved from Hermitage by co-owners Jay French and Terry Haaland, who started the business together after they spent time selling antiques in Milroy, Mifflin County.
In addition to antiques the store will also sell records, jewelry, books and furniture.
“It’s a hard store to describe,” he said. “We don’t sell anything that’s new.”
French said part of the business’ agreement with the mall promises it space to expand in January, but before that it will show off its traditional Christmas window displays.
“Our goal is to integrate firmly in the Butler community and provide merchandise that nobody else provides,” French said.
