Butler senior wins WPIAL cross county title
WORTH TWP — Butler senior Noah Beveridge, with a time of 15:47, won the WPIAL Class AAA boys individual championship Thursday at a meet held at Cooper's Lake.
Beveridge became the first Butler runner to win the event since Darin Mellinger more than 20 years ago.
The Seneca Valley boys team came in first place, defending its title, and the Golden Tornado boy's team came in second. Both will advance to the state meet Nov. 4 in Hershey, Pa.
