Butler Art Center, 344 S. Main St., displays the “Art of the Drink” encompassing “Beer Label Inspired Artwork” and “Handcrafted Drinking Vessels” through Nov. 3. The reception will be on the last day of the show from 7 to 9 p.m., with beer tastings included. These are juried shows. Carnegie Museum of Art, 4400 Forbes Ave., presents an exhibition of photographs by William Henry Fox Talbot, who invented the paper-based photography that dominated the field for most of the 19th and 20th centuries, Nov. 18 to Feb. 11. The museum will have free admission on Sunday and Nov. 19. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except closed Tuesdays. Extended hours are until 8 p.m. Thursdays.
