Butler County Symphony Orchestra opens its 69th season Saturday with an “All Brahms” concert in the Butler Intermediate High School auditorium.
A pre-concert lecture will be given by music director and conductor Matthew Kraemer at 6:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
Featured will be Andrés Cárdenes on violin and Marjorie Lange Hanna on cello.

PORTERSVILLE — The Portersville Steam Show Fall Fling is planned for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Portersville Steam Show Grounds, 1512 Perry Highway.
It features a vintage village, cider press, gas engines, oil field equipment, farm animals, train rides, steam engines, a flea market, crafts and food.

This year’s annual Butler County Farm Tour will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
Participants travel at their own pace to the six northern Butler County farms on the tour, where they can learn about each farm’s purpose or production.
New this year are added stops where participants can eat, have a beer, see a demonstration or play a game with the children.

This year’s Butler Ghost Walk will be at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20, 21, 27 and 28 starting from Diamond Park, across from the Butler County Courthouse.
Tour guide Bill May takes spectators of all ages on a guided walking tour and tells stories of Sam Mohawk, Ghosts of the Old Hospital, Haunted Elevator, Chinese Laundry Murder, Phantom Civil War Regiment, the Girl Who Heard the Angels Sing, and new this year, “The Ghost of the Penn Theater.”
