FRANKLIN TWP— Matt Benson’s 87 paced Butler County Community College’s golf team in a tri-match Tuesday at Lake Arthur Golf Club.

The Pioneers (13-2) totaled 361 strokes, finishing behind Westmoreland County Community College (342), but ahead of Penn State-New Kensington (364).

Tyler Good and Luke Ostermeyer both added an 88 for BC3.

WCCC’s Vinnie Ferrogino was the medalist with a 77.

The Pioneers will next compete at the WPCC Championship Saturday and Sunday at The Links at Spring Church.
