Nobuntu, an a cappella ensemble made up of five young women from Zimbabwe, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Smith Student Center Ballroom at Slippery Rock University. The ensemble was nominated for Best Musician of the Year at the Zimbabwe International Women's Awards in 2015. Since the release of their debut album, “Thina,” in 2013, Nobuntu has played in concert halls and at festivals in Austria, Germany, Belgium and the Czech Republic.
