Share our Jeep
Last month I had the privilege of sitting in on the Butler City Council meeting. The most important item discussed was the taking back control of one of the original Bantam Jeeps from the Historical Society. This Bantam Jeep has not been in a Memorial Day parade in years, but in the basement of the Historical Society.
The contract with the city is to show the Jeep when needed. John Pro, president of the Old Stone House Car Club, informed the council that the Historical Society demanded $10,000 to show this Jeep at the annual Jeep Fest. When finding this out, the council voted to review the contract and confirm that a violation of the agreement has occurred.
I would like to thank the mayor and council for this unanimous decision.
