Robert M. Flick Sr.
Robert M. Flick Sr.
Today there’s a birthday a big one you see
Robert M. Flick Sr. “100” he’ll be.
One night while out on the western plains,
The first line in your favorite song,
It’s been 10 years since you left us.
Can’t believe it’s been that long.
Seems like yesterday, when our family gathered
So many fond memories
Seemed nothing else mattered.
You were the back bone that held us together
We all showed up no matter the weather
You’ve missed so much.
It seems such a shame
Weddings, graduations, retirements too
Babies too many to name.
We look forward to the day,
We all meet again.
Good times will happen all over again!
Our meal will begin with a familiar prayer
We’ll each bring a dish that we all will share.
The party begins with sounds of good cheer
And maybe, just maybe we’ll have a beer.
Roll Out the Barrel, the Tennessee Waltz just to name two
Can be heard in the Heavens just some that we knew.
Maybe up next The Old Rugged Cross
It helped remind us just who is boss.
Then comes your stories most of them true
So many things remind us of you.
Our Father’s in Heaven How Great Thou Art,
Two more of your favorites
Happy Birthday “old fart”
I’m sure there’s a party in Heaven today
Your guest of honor
Hip, hip, horray!
Please guide and watch us tell the whole “Gang” hello
Today you’ll have cake “100” candles you’ll blow.
Memories of you fill us with pride
As we wait till the day we’re by your side.
Until then, give mom a kiss,
Oh, and save us a seat.
We’re heading up your way because we can’t take the heat.
All us kids, are still hardy hoping you enjoy your “100th” birthday party.
All our love,
From your Children, Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren
To all those who knew Dad, thank you for all your kind words and prayers for him and our family over the years. God Bless!
