PROSPECT — The Prospect Community Library, 357 Main St., will have the following programs in September:
The 30th anniversary celebration of the Butler County Federated Library System will be Sept. 12. Cake and juice will be served throughout the day.
Story Time for children up to 5 years old will return at 11 a.m. Sept. 13.
Freezer Meal Swap will be the third Thursday of the month beginning Sept. 21. Prepare four meals, take them to the swap and leave with four different meals.
[naviga:h3]Zelienople library plans fundraiser[/naviga:h3]
ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Public Library, 227 S. High St., is taking reservations for the library’s 6th annual Book the Night Silent Auction. The event will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Sept. 27.
The event will feature silent auction items, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. The auction will include gift baskets, restaurant gift certificates, sports tickets, signed books and a variety of other items.
Proceeds benefit the “Circling Our Future” project which includes updating the floor plan, installing a new circulation desk, replacing the carpet and painting the walls.

[naviga:h3]Christian comic, ventriloquist visit[/naviga:h3]
JEFFERSON TWP — The Concordia Haven retirement community will host the public for a return visit from Christian ventriloquist and comedian Ryan Bomgardner.
The performance will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 22 in the Haven I dining room at 112 Marwood Road (Entrance 2A) on the Concordia Lutheran Ministries campus.

[naviga:h3]Historical society hosts wine event[/naviga:h3]
ZELIENOPLE — Awine and cheese tasting will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Passavant House lawn and gazebo, 243 S. Main St. Tickets for the event, which includes entertainment by Johnny Burg, must be purchased in advance.
Tickets are available at Passavant House, 243 S. Main St., from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Tickets also are available by mail at the same address. Include payment with the request.
