6:30 a.m. Thursday — Police said someone stole a Lincoln Ranger 305 D, a diesel-only industrial welder, from a construction site on North Shore Drive near West Park Road in Worth Township. The welder is red and black and has “diesel only” and “McCrossin” stickers on it, and was stolen sometime between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. Thursday. Police said they found tire marks at the scene they believe came from an older model tractor. The welder is valued at $5,000. Anyone with information should contact state police at 724-284-8100.

12:20 p.m. Thursday — Police were called to investigate a hit-and-run incident involving a parked car at The Grove apartment complex off Harmony Road in Slippery Rock Township. An unknown vehicle struck a Honda Accord, damaging its passenger side mirror, and left the area in an unknown direction of travel.

5:20 p.m. Friday — No one was injured in a rear-end accident on Route 422 in Butler Township. Police said a Buick Lacrosse driven west by Jerrold L. Shank, 57, of Mercer was near the intersection Purvis Road when it rear-ended a Dodge Ram driven by Joseph V. Mellish of Cabot. The Buick had heavy damage and was towed from the scene. Police say Shank will be cited for following too closely.

7:50 p.m. Saturday — A 30-year-old Harrisville man was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Police said the man was observed doing a burnout while driving a Chevrolet Silverado from the Route 308 southbound entrance ramp to Route 8 in Irwin Township, Venango County. Charges were pending lab results.
