CENTER TWP — Chris Lascuola, Josh Kearns, Mike Menchyk and Jono Schnur carded a 58 to win the St. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Golf Scramble Saturday at Stoughton Acres.
Jim and Rocco Rice, Jeremy and Ethan Peffer took second with a 61. Larry and Deb Cygan, Larry and Andrew Wolenski third with a 62.
Longest drive went to Rocco Rice, Menchyk, Karen Hankey and Rose Frenchak, closest to the pin to Nick Minto, Ethan Peffer and Cheri Hawryliak, longest putt to Jim Rice and Fr. Douglas Lorance.
[naviga:h3]SRU picked 3rd in PSAC grid poll[/naviga:h3]
LOCK HAVEN — Slippery Rock University’s football team has been picked to finish third in the PSAC West coaches preseason poll this year.
Indiana (Pa.) received six of eight first-place votes in being picked first, California (Pa.) getting two first-place votes and being picked second. Edinboro, Gannon, Seton Hill, Clarion and Mercyhurst round out the poll.
West Chester received all eight first-place votes in the PSAC East. Kutztown, Shippensburg, Bloomsburg, East Stroudsburg, Lock Haven, Millersville and Cheyney round out that poll.
