BUTLER TWP — Police ended their investigation on the Butler County Community College property today after finding “nothing of interest,” authorities said.

State police and BC3 campus police were investigating a wooded area near the college where private cadaver dogs reportedly alerted handlers when approaching a mound of construction debris Saturday evening, said Scott Richardson, BC3's director of campus police and security.

“The investigation is complete,” Richardson said.

The cadaver dogs and their handlers were on campus for a training.

State troopers on Tuesday employed the use of a cadaver dog from the Butler County Search and Rescue Team to search the area, Richardson said.
