Credit rating is high
CRANBERRY TWP — Cranberry Township’s credit rating is among the best in the state, according to a new online study.
LendEDU, an online marketplace for student loan refinancing, recently released a study that ranked Cranberry 41st out of 999 municipalities in the state for best credit score.
The township received a score of 754 out of a theoretical 850, considered to be good rating and placing the township among the state’s most financially secure communities.
Washington Crossing in Bucks County was ranked first with a score of 770.
The LendEDU study used data from Experian to form its list.
The township also received the Aa1 rating several years ago from Moody’s Investor Services, a rating only nine other municipalities in the state share.
