Two local girls put together a newspaper to report on the effects of last week's flooding in the West Brady Street neighborhood.
Liza Wick and Heidi Brewer, both 10, interviewed other kids in their neighborhood, took pictures and even included a few games in their newspaper, “Lights ... Camera ... KIDS.” The flood edition of the newspaper is not the last for the pair, who plan to publish more versions of their neighborhood newspaper.
For their efforts, the Butler Eagle award $500 in their honor to the Center for Community Resources.
Liza, Heidi and their families were also treated to a tour of the Butler Eagle's printing plant and each girl was given a Butler Eagle umbrella.
