BUTLER TWP — The Butler County Parks and Recreation Department will host events this week at Alameda Park, 184 Alameda Park Road.

School Daze will feature Slippery Rock and Mars schools Monday at Alameda Waterpark. Students will receive half-off admission by wearing clothing with their school name or logo or by presenting school identification. Different schools are featured weekly.

The free Outdoor Discovery Series will offer “AL-Mazing Magic” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Carousel Shelter.

Night Disc Golf will be July 15 on a temporary course at Alameda Park. Registration will start at 8:30 p.m. at the Masonic Shelter. Tee off will be at 9:30 p.m. For fee information, call 724-284-5383.

[naviga:h3]Rummage, bake sale set at church[/naviga:h3]

VALENCIA — Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., will hold its annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 15.

Clean donations in good working condition can be delivered from Monday to Thursday in the foyer of the fellowship hall. No donations will be accepted Friday. Organizers will not accept clothing, shoes, televisions or computers.

Packed and priced donations for the bake sale can be delivered to the church kitchen Friday. Fresh vegetables and unexpired canned goods and packaged food items will be welcome.

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road, will host representatives from Western Pennsylvania Conservancy’s Fallingwater to talk about Frank Lloyd Wright and his legendary architecture at 6:30 p.m. July 18.

Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is widely considered to be one of the greatest American architects of the 20th century and the father of modern architecture. Fallingwater, located in nearby Laurel Highlands, is considered to be his masterpiece of Organic Architecture.
