Butler Police
9:14 a.m. Friday — Donald J. Campbell, 33, of Butler Township and Kelly L. Wilson, 48, of Mercer Township were caught with suspected drug contraband in a vehicle outside a store on the 500 block of West Cunningham Street.
Police while answering a call found Campbell in the back seat of the vehicle. He allegedly admitted having a syringe that was inside a prescription bottle.
The bottle, according to court documents, had two syringes, an empty stamp bag of suspected heroin, a spoon and crack pipe. Campbell also was found with a digital scale in his pants pocket.
Officers said they saw a crack pipe sticking up between Wilson’s legs. She was in the front seat.
Campbell and Wilson are both charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Butler Township Police
6:08 p.m. Tuesday — Police said they had to Taser a Northumberland County man after he allegedly got into an altercation with three officers at the Lyndora Hotel.
Breven S. Smith, 27, of Turbotville is in the Butler County Prison on felony assault and other charges.
Police were initially called to the bar for a report of an out-of-control customer.
The first officer tried to stop Smith but the defendant took an aggressive stance. Two other officers arrived but Smith maintained his “aggressive” behavior, police said.
He refused to comply with police commands and challenged the officers to a fight. After issuing Smith repeated warnings, one of the officers deployed his Taser.
The defendant was eventually placed in handcuffs but he continued to struggle with officers, police said. No injuries were reported, but Smith is accused of damaging one of the police cars during his clash with officers.
Smith was arraigned on three felony charges of aggravated assault, and misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, and a summary charge of public drunkenness.
He was placed in the county prison on $35,000 bail following arraignment.
Saturday — Kassandra L. Walker, 31, of Butler was charged with having drugs at the Butler County Prison where she was taken in April after being arrested for shoplifting.
Police said Walker was caught about 1:40 a.m. April 4 taking $87 in merchandise at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. Since she had at least two prior shoplifting convictions, she was arrested on a felony count of retail theft.
She was taken to the county prison and searched. Correctional officers found suspected crack cocaine in her bra and a crack pipe in her purse, police said.
In addition to retail theft, Walker is charged with possession of a controlled substance by an inmate, also a felony. Additionally, she is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

12:45 a.m. June 25 — Andrew P. Garris, 29, of Butler was arrested for DUI after being stopped for traffic violations on Dick Road and Old Route 422 in Franklin Township.
Police said they smelled a “strong odor” of alcohol coming from Garris and he appeared intoxicated.
He subsequently failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a breath test, according to court documents, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.141 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.
Garris is charged with DUI, driving at an unsafe speed, failing to obey traffic control devices, running a stop sign, careless driving, reckless driving and not wearing a seat belt.
June 22 — Bobbi Sue Jones, 20, of Butler was charged with texting and driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana in connection with a May 11 wreck in Muddy Creek Township.
Jones, who was injured, told police that she had been arguing with her boyfriend on the telephone when she lost control of her car and crashed about 11:40 p.m. on East Portersville Road, according to court documents.
Police said the defendant, who appeared impaired, also admitted to having consumed alcohol earlier that night and to having recently smoked marijuana. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for medical treatment.
Results of a blood test eventually confirmed she had marijuana in her system, documents said. He blood-alcohol level was 0.101 percent.
In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance and driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol, Jones is charged with DUI by a minor, underage drinking, texting while driving, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.
June 22 — Police charged an Allegheny County woman with drugged driving stemming from a May traffic stop for tailgating on Kiester Road in Slippery Rock Township.
Kristie N. Critchfield, 21, of Dravosburg smelled of alcohol and marijuana following the stop shortly after midnight May 14, according to court documents. She later failed field sobriety tests
A search of her sport utility vehicle, police said, yielded Ziploc baggies of suspected marijuana and a marijuana grinder.
Critchfield was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood tests. Toxicology results showed she had marijuana in her system. Her blood-alcohol level was 0.028 percent.
She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, following too closely to another vehicle and careless driving.

7:04 p.m. June 12 — Kevin Fulmer, 46, of Parker was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was stopped riding an all-terrain vehicle on Canoe Ripple Road in Beaver Township, Clarion County.
