Butler youths will have the opportunity to get a free bike at the Butler City Farmer’s Market.

Several local organizations will collaborate to give away 100 bicycles and helmets from 1 to 5 p.m. July 9 at the market.

The market is near the intersection of Cunningham and Chestnut streets.

“We’re really looking to show how we can come together as a community and accomplish goals that are good for everybody in the community,” said Jamie Lee Goehring, who has been working along with businessman Denny Offstein and several community groups to organize the event.

Organizations involved in the event include city police and fire departments, Gaiser Addiction Center and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County.
