State police vice officers last week obtained arrest warrants for three alleged dealers accused of selling narcotics in Butler in 2015 and 2016.

Charged with felony and misdemeanor drug possession are Amanda A. Beck, 32, of Butler; Dewayne M. Brown, 38, of McKeesport, Allegheny County; and Ja-Raye L. Sloan, 37, of Rochester, Beaver County.

Beck is charged in two separate cases in 2015, police said. Investigators said they used a police informant to arrange a pair of drug buys.

On Feb. 11, according to court documents, the informant went into a house in the 200 block of Fourth Street where she allegedly sold him heroin for $260.

An informant on March 19 rode with an undercover officer to Wallula Avenue, where they met Beck. The officer handed her $240 and she went into a house.

She later returned to the car and handed the officer 20 bags of heroin, documents said. The officer gave her another $20.

Police said Brown sold heroin and crack cocaine to an informant on June 2, 2015. The controlled buy happened at a home in the 700 block of West Penn Street.

The informant, while in the house, “observed a large bag of crack cocaine that Brown 'broke off,' weighed and exchanged for money,” according to a police affidavit.

Brown allegedly retrieved the heroin, police said, that he kept in a purple Crown Royal bag.

Sloan is accused of selling drugs to a police informant in 2016 at a home on Second Avenue.

The arranged deal on May 13 was for crack and heroin in exchange for $200, court documents said. A $400 deal June 23 was for crack, heroin and Xanax, a medication commonly used to treat anxiety disorders.
