Sheriff: Upgrade forces temporary halt to gun carry permit applications
The Butler County Sheriff’s office will not be accepting applications for License to Carry (gun permits) from Thursday until 8:30 a.m. Monday.
Sheriff Mike Slupe said the Pennsylvania State Police Firearms Division is making major changes to the License To Carry system.
According to Slupe, these upgrades are necessary to keep the LTC application process up to date with the newest technology and streamline the process.
