Woman faces charges in 3 additional cases

A woman charged in connection with the homicide of a Kittanning man was formally arraigned on two unrelated cases, and one related case, in Butler County Court on Tuesday.

Tiffany N. Hilliard, 30, of Butler, was formally arraigned before county Judge William Shaffer on charges of misdemeanor accidents involving damage to attended vehicles or property, summary driving on a suspended license and improper left turn; felony retail theft, conspiracy to retail theft and misdemeanor theft by deception; and misdemeanor false identification to law enforcement.

The accident charges stem from an incident alleged to have occurred on Dec. 31, 2016, following a suspected hit-and-run crash in the 400 block of West Jefferson Street. Butler police say Hilliard allegedly drove away after her pickup truck struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The retail theft charges stem from an incident alleged to have occurred on March 24, after Butler Township police say she stole diapers and a potty training seat from the Butler Commons Walmart.

The false identification charge stems from an incident a short time later the same day, when Hilliard and Joshua K. Greaves, 34, of Mercer, were allegedly found inside a 1991 Dodge Dynasty, after Butler city police were dispatched to investigate suspicious activity on West Wayne Street. Both allegedly gave false names, before their identities were discovered and they were arrested on bench warrants. Greaves was also allegedly found in possession of three stamp bags of heroin.

Police later learned the vehicle belonged to Gregory Bosko, 55, who had been reported missing to Kittanning police on March 20. Bosko's body was later found on April 1 in a wooded area off Redbud Road in Concord Township.

Butler County Coroner William Young III ruled the death a homicide. He said the cause of death was “sharp trauma of the neck,” and that the man's throat had been slit “multiple times.”

Greaves was charged with criminal homicide, felony robbery and related charges in that case. Hilliard was also charged with the same counts, save for the homicide charge. Both currently await preliminary hearings in that case on June 1.

Hilliard has been held in the Butler County Jail on a combined $518,500 bail.
