The Greater Harmony Chorus recently won three medals at a regional competition in Cleveland.

Greater Harmony Chorus, Sweet Adelines International, won three medals recently at the annual regional competition in Cleveland.

In a contest against 21 other choruses from parts of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Indiana, Greater Harmony won Most Improved Chorus, improving by 68 points as well as second place mid-size chorus and second place overall.

Winning three medals was a first for the chorus and it was the highest placement the chorus has achieved.

The group’s new director Michael Hengelsberg has only been at the helm for seven months.

The chorus is accepting new members. Rehearsals are at 6:45 p.m. Tuesdays at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church, 33 Bairdsford Road, Gibsonia. Women of all ages are invited.
