The Pittsburgh Doo-Wop Big Band will perform May 20 at Butler Intermediate High School to benefit the Penn Theater Performance Company. The concert will feature sounds from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the performance will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20. Proceeds will go toward the purchase and renovation of the Penn Theater on Main Street. Local country/southern rock band Coal Town will release its self-titled debut album with a party at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Pines, 598 Trees Mills Road, Greensburg. The song “Dirt Track Anthem” is featured in a documentary trailer about Lernerville Speedway. Band members include Jessi Boldy of Sarver on acoustic guitar and vocals.

A free performance featuring the Benny Benack Jr. Quartet will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Haven I Dining Room, 112 Marwood Road, Entrance 2A, Concordia Retirement Living, Jefferson Township. Registration is preferred, but not required. Call 724-352-1571, Ext. 8518.

Greater Cranberry Men’s Chorus will present an original musical comedy “WBOG is on the AIR!” at 6 p.m. May 21 at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School, 1617 Route 228, Cranberry Township. Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra will present a free concert “City of Bridges” at 7 p.m. May 21 at Heinz Hall, 600 Penn Ave. Free tickets are available at www.pyso.org.
