Sharon Lee Double Sheakley

Sharon Lee Double Sheakley, 68, of Karns City passed away Thursday at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born Jan. 20, 1949 to the late Paul J. Double and Ida “Loretta” Fair Double.

Sharon was a devoted life member of the Petrolia Ambulance Service and Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department.

She is survived by three daughters, Wendi (Crawford) Donachy and husband David of Russell, Pa., Cindi (Crawford) Smith and husband BJ of Highland, Kan. and Samantha (Sheakley) Ackerman and husband Patrick of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Cory, Meagen, Rodger, Josef, Olivia, Makayla, Kent and Red; great-grandchildren, Leighton and Quintin; sister, Pamela Bailey and husband Earl of Karns City; brother-in-law Gerald Sheakley; a number of step children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Leroy Sheakley.

SHEAKLEY — There will be no public visitation for Sharon Lee (Double) Sheakley, who died April 6, 2017. A private family memorial will take place at a later date.

A remembrance dinner for Sharon will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Petrolia Social Hall, 200 Argyle St. Petrolia. For those who wish to send food, please contact Penny at 724-496-7435.

Memorial donations in Sharon’s honor may be made to the Petrolia Volunteer Ambulance Service.

Arrangements were handled by the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home of Petrolia.
