Bookbindery moves to Bon Aire

BUTLER TWP — Mechling Bookbindery has moved to 124 Evans Road, near the Bon Aire Shopping Center.

The new office opened April 3. The business formerly was housed on Oneida Valley Road.

“This change will benefit our customers by offering a wider choice of products and bookbinding services while focusing on customer service,” said Al Mechling, company owner.

Mechling Bookbindery, also known as Bookbinders Workshop, offers printing and bookbinding, book restoration, and graphic design services. The company sells bookbinding supplies, fine leathers and tools, and Pennsylvania history and genealogy books as well.

Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays.

Consumer prices down 0.3% in March

WASHINGTON — Consumer prices fell in March by the largest amount in more than two years, pushed lower by another sharp decline in the price of gasoline and other energy products.

Consumer prices dropped 0.3 percent in March following a tiny 0.1 percent rise in February, the Labor Department reported Friday. It was the first monthly decline in 13 months and the biggest drop since prices fell 0.6 percent in January 2015.
