Despite a combined 24 hits over two games, the Butler County Community College softball team also committed a total of eight errors in dropping both ends of a doubleheader to host Penn State Beaver by scores of 5-2 and 11-10.

Nicole Houk highlighted the Game 1 defeat with a single, triple and run scored for the Pioneers.

Codi Reed took the loss after allowing five runs (two earned) on eight hits over six innings in the circle.

BC3 held a 10-3 lead in Game 2 before Penn State Beaver scored eight times in the bottom of the seventh frame.

Houk starred again with four hits, and Reed added three hits and two RBI. The latter was charged with the loss, surrendering eight runs on 15 hits in 3 2/3 innings for the Pioneers (13-3).
