BUTLER TWP — Veterans in the state’s 11th House district will have a chance to meet with an American Legion service officer next week at the office of state Rep. Brian Ellis, R-11th.

The veterans’ assistance hours at Ellis’ district office at 6 Chesapeake St., Suite 200 in Lyndora, will be held on Wednesday.

That day Larry Michaelis of the American Legion will be available to assist veterans and their families with compensation, pension, death benefits, education, health care issues and more. Those interested must schedule an appointment by calling the office at 724-283-5852.

The outreach hours are being held earlier than usual to accommodate the office being closed for Good Friday on April 14.
