"Workers cut a hole in the side of Butler Memorial Hospital on Thursday morning to remove the hospital's old MRI machine and begin preparations for a new, $1.5 million MRI machine that will help the health system support neurovascular procedures, improve its breast MRI program, and enable patients to receive cardiac MRIs. The $2 million project is expected to be complete and the new machine ready to accept patients by mid-June. In the meantime, the health system is using a mobile MRI lab attached to Butler Memorial Hospital to continue to provide imaging for outpatient, emergency room and inpatient services."
