Paul Ray Werner
Paul Ray Werner, 66, of Butler, passed away peacefully at 12:51 p.m. Tuesday at the Grove at Harmony.
He was born July 2, 1950, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Albert H. Werner and the late Florence Shimmel Werner.
Paul worked for the Sheet Metal Workers' Local Union 12 with Ellison's Sheet Metal, Werner Metal Industries and A & B Mechanical.
Surviving are his two sons, Nathan Paul Werner, of Butler, and Douglas Ray (Sarah) Werner, of Butler; two sisters, Marie Werner, of Butler, and Margaret “Peg” Werner, of Florida; and two brothers, Patrick (Sharon) Werner and Edward (Karen) Werner, both of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his best friend and dog, Jobi (Wan-Kanobi).
As a nearly lifelong resident of Renfrew and Butler, his passion for all things automobile, aircraft, train and boat were second only to the master-craftsmanship of his trade and personal creations. A truly creative genius, he was dubbed the “Finest Welder of the Local 12.”
