Fire destroys mobile home in Jackson Twp.

JACKSON TWP — Firefighters spent several hours Saturday morning at the scene of a mobile home fire on Tillack Lane, and Harmony Fire District assistant Chief Brian Dambauch said a state police fire marshal has been called to investigate.

Dambauch said the fire, which was reported shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday by a passer-by, wasn’t believed to be suspicious and requesting a fire marshal’s investigation was routine.

He said the blaze destroyed the unoccupied mobile home on Tillack Lane, which is a small road off Lindsey Road. An exact address for the structure wasn’t immediately available.

Dambauch said no one was there at the time of the fire, and its owners primarily used it “for recreational purposes.”

The fire drew three companies — Harmony, Evans City and Cranberry Township — and Dambauch said firefighters were returning to their stations around 9 a.m. Saturday.
