CHRIST OUTREACH

The men of Christ Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., get together at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Mac’s Route 8 Cafe, 16 Pittsburgh Road, for their monthly breakfast.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

Ladies craft night out is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Butler Public Library, 218 N. McKean St. All supplies for a spring wreath will be provided. Call the office at 724-287-3303 to register.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., has fish banks as the Lenten mission project. They are for donations to the Young Life ministry in Butler and the Little School in Nicaragua. The banks are at both entrances to the sanctuary. The return date is April 2.

The People for Peace meet at 11 a.m. March 23 in the assembly room.

The deadline for ordering Easter flowers in memory or honor of loved ones is March 29. Place orders in the offering plate, deliver them to the church or mail them to the church.

FIRST BAPTIST

The ladies’ Bible study of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., is at 7 p.m. today at the Dittmer home.

Toccoa Falls Bible College Touring Choir gives a concert at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Christian School.

The Berean Class has a social at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pastor Dave’s home in Grove City.

FIRST BAPTIST OF EVANS CITY

The Men’s Foundation Ministry of First Baptist Church of Evans City, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City, meets at 7 a.m. Saturday at the church.

The Sunday prayer meeting is at 9 a.m. and followed by Christian living classes and a worship service.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., has a craft and puppet show day for the children’s Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Sunday.

The Butler Area Lutheran Ministries Lenten Series has a soup supper at 6 p.m. and worship at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury.

GLADE RUN UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The women of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, leave March 24 for the women’s retreat at the Laurelville Mennonite Church Center in Mount Pleasant. Participants will relax, enjoy nature and study the Bible as well as have dramas, fun, music and fellowship.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Members of Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., lead worship with the adult day program participants at 11 a.m. Monday and Tuesday at LIFE Butler County. Members meet at 10:40 a.m. at the church.

The church council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the library.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The One Great Hour of Sharing offering is received each Sunday through the Lenten season at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St.

Members of the yarn group meet at 12:45 p.m. Sunday.

The Rev. Fred Young presents “Come See the Glory of the Good through a Camera” at 7 p.m. Monday in the sanctuary.

The deacons’ care package project needs addresses for college students and the military.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, has a combined session/elder meeting in the fellowship hall at 7 p.m. today.

There is a Lenten lunch at noon Friday with guest speaker the Rev. Peter deVries of Old Union Presbyterian Church.

GriefShare meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The fiber arts ladies meet at 10 a.m. March 23 in the fellowship hall.

OLD UNION PRESBYTERIAN

Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, Mars, has children’s club from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays for four weeks beginning Tuesday. Register on the church website or sign up in the lobby.

The fundraising committee is planning the April 8 soup supper.

RIDER LUTHERAN CHURCH

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will celebrate Communion at its 10 a.m. Sunday service.

Ladies game night will be at 6 p.m. Monday.

The midweek Lenten worship has a soup supper at 6 p.m. and worship at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. The Rev. Tara Lynn from Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church will officiate.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., celebrates a midweek worship service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 218 E. Jefferson St. The Rev. Jim Swanson and the Rev. Merry Meloy will lead the service.

Easter Lilies may be ordered for the Easter celebration in the sanctuary. Donors may take the lilies after the Easter worship service. March 27 is the deadline for orders and payment.

ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church of Connoquenessing, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing, celebrates Holy Communion during the worship service on the third Sunday of Lent.

The BALM midweek Lenten service includes a light dinner at 6 p.m. and worship at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

The children’s ministries of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, have a parents’ night out from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday in Centennial Hall.

Holy Communion will be shared at the 8:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services Sunday.

This week’s Lenten services are at noon and 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke’s. The Rev. John Porter of Westminster Presbyterian Church will speak and the Generations Choir will provide the music.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., has Holy Communion at all weekend worship services.

The first Communion class meets at 9 a.m. Sunday in the youth room.

The midweek Lenten service is at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 218 E. Jefferson St.

ST. MICHAEL ROMAN CATHOLIC

St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 811 Chestnut St., Emlenton, hosts the community’s third Lenten service at 7 p.m. Sunday. The Allegheny-Clarion Valley Ministerium sponsors the services. The Rev. Darrell Knopp of First Presbyterian Church, Emlenton, will lead the service. The host pastor is deacon Nick Cirell. SS PETER AND PAUL UKRAINIAN ORHODOX

SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 21 Evergreen St., Lyndora, has the presanctified liturgy, St. Patrick of Ireland, at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

The Divine liturgy and a memorial service for the deceased are at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

The Holy Cross Procession is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The Divine liturgy is at 10 a.m.

The executive board meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the library.

A Pan-Orthodox Service Liturgy of the presanctified and a Lenten potluck meal are at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Orthodox Church, 400 S. Sixth Ave.

SUMMIT PRESBYTERIAN

Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, has the first of three Lenten family nights at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the fellowship hall. The evening includes a potluck dinner, a Lenten devotional and intergenerational activities. To make a reservation, call the church office.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

The church council of Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, has training at 6 p.m. Monday and a meeting at 7 p.m.

The church will host a worship service for Lent at noon Wednesday.

There is a midweek Lenten dinner at 6 p.m. and a worship service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury.

There are no exercise classes at the church from Friday until April 14. Classes will resume April 17.
