J. Sandra Gearhart Misera
J. Sandra Gearhart Misera, 80, of Frazer Township passed away Monday at her home following her battle with cancer.
She was born Sept. 6, 1936, in Brackenridge, daughter of the late William M. and Cecelia (Markwell) Gearhart. She was a graduate of Seton Hill College and Duquesne University with degrees in music education. Sandra lived most of her life in Natrona Heights and Frazer Township and was a retired music teacher for Deer Lakes High School and Har-Brack High School. Sandra was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Creighton, and also was an organist for numerous churches in the area. Sandra also taught private piano instruction for 50 years.
Survivors include her children, Stephen M. (Lisa) Misera, Butler; Sharon M. (James) Wilson, Russellton; and David P. (Amy) Misera, Altoona. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Codi, Hannah and Grace Misera, Shane Misera, and Stephen and James Wilson. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen C. Misera, in 2005; infant grandson, John Stephen Wilson; and two brothers, William F. and John G. Gearhart.
MISERA — Visitation for J. Sandra Gearhart Misera, who died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Duster Funeral Home, 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, where a prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, followed by a Christian funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, Creighton, with the Rev.
