Butler PoliceWednesday — Weston G. Atwell, 26, of Butler was charged in connection with a shoplifting incident last month at the downtown pharmacy. Police said Atwell on Feb. 14 took two nasal decongestant inhalers, valued at $14.98, from the Rite Aid on South Main Street. The defendant, who had one prior shoplifting conviction, is charged with a misdemeanor count of retail theft.Wednesday — Police charged Vanessa E. Morrison, 26, of Butler with having a crack pipe Feb. 13 when she was arrested on a bench warrant at the Eau Claire Street Cafe. The pipe was found in her left shoe during a search at the Butler County Prison, where she was taken following her arrest. She is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Butler Twp Police6:59 a.m. Friday — A portion of Route 422 west was limited to one lane for about an hour following a two-vehicle crash. The accident happened when Tyler Fallecker, 20, of East Butler lost control of his vehicle on ice and collided with a vehicle driven by Kathy Rankin, 58, of Butler. No one was injured but Rankin’s vehicle was towed.

Butler County Drug Task ForceFriday — A felony arrest warrant was issued for Christy L. Senchisen, 39, of Pittsburgh on charges she had drugs hidden on her while at the Butler County Prison last year.Task force officers on June 24, 2016, transported Senchisen to the prison after she was arrested on a warrant. While being processed, according to court documents, authorities found four Suboxone strips in her underwear.She is charged with possession of a controlled substance by an inmate, a felony, and possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

State Police, Butler8 p.m. Saturday — Larry G. Bonetti Jr., 49, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after he crashed his pickup truck in the area of Henricks Road and Glenwood Way in Center Township. Bonetti was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology reports are pending.11:54 a.m. Friday — An Allegheny County woman was hurt in a five-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Police blame the accident on a prior accident and on a “blinding snow (storm).”Regina S. Bulsak, 46, of South Park, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with apparent minor injuries.The other drivers included a 58-year-old upstate New York man in a tractor-trailer, a 34-year-old Clearfield County man in a pickup truck, a 28 year-old Lehigh County man in a rig and a 63-year-old Erie County woman in a sport utility vehicle.A number of fire departments, ambulance services and tow trucks assisted police in the series of multivehicle pileups on the interstate.Tuesday — Joseph P. Bradshaw, 27, of Center Township was charged with drunken driving after he fell asleep at the wheel of his parked and running sport utility vehicle in January at what he believed was his home. He was off by more than four miles.Police were called about 3 a.m. Jan. 30 to a home in the 600 block of Route 68 in Center Township where the homeowner reported that an SUV was blocking her driveway. The vehicle, which had a West Virginia license plate, had not moved for more than 30 minutes.Troopers found Bradshaw sleeping and slightly slouched over in the driver’s seat. The ignition was on and the radio was turned up loud, according to court documents. Police said they had to shake the suspect several times before he awakened.The defendant appeared “confused and dazed,” documents said, and he had a “strong odor” of alcohol on his breath. Police also noticed two beer cans in the vehicle.“The defendant related he believed he was at his residence (on) Holyoke Road,” according to a police affidavit.Troopers took him to the barracks for a breath test, which he refused to take. He later admitted that he had been drinking beer at a Summit Township bar earlier that night before leaving to drive home.Bradshaw is charged with driving under the influence, trespass by vehicle, driving with a suspended license, driving without a license, failing to notify authorities of a change of address and driving with an open container of alcohol.

State Police, Franklin2:02 a.m. Wednesday — A 21-year-old man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 208 and Butler Street in Clintonville.

State Police, MercerTuesday — Two Sharon women were charged with passing fraudulent coupons in February totaling $584.55 at the Walmart on West Main Street Extension in Pine Township, Mercer County.Both suspects — Melissa M. Norris, 47, and Savannah L. Norris, 21 — are charged with two counts each of conspiracy to commit forgery, conspiracy to commit theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft.Police said the defendants on Feb. 17 bought $45.45 in merchandise at the store. The pair then scanned the bogus coupons, which they received in-store credit.

State Police, New CastleSunday — Police reported they are investigating a case of identity theft that last year victimized a 65-year-old man in Scott Township, Lawrence County. According to police, an unknown thief used the man’s personal information between February and April 2016 to open a television cable account.
