Helen E. Bruner
Helen E. Bruner, 86, of Butler passed away Thursday from a sudden illness at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 16, 1930, in North Oakland, she was a daughter of the late Vincent Clouse and Philomena “Minnie” Waltman Clouse.
Helen was a homemaker and had later worked for the Nationwide Insurance Co. as a cook in the Butler Regional Office for 13 years. She was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler and was a former member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland, where she was a former member and past president of the Christian Mothers. She loved bingo, playing cards, cooking, baking and being with her family.
Surviving are her two sons, Gary (Karen) Bruner and David (Cathy) Bruner, all of Chicora; two daughters, Donna (Rich) Wick and Cindy (Mike) Allday, all of Butler; six grandchildren, Dianne, Mike, Doug, Justin, Amber and Nikki; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie (Louis) Bauldoff of Fenelton; one brother, John (Eleanor) Clouse of Butler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick J. Bruner, who she married Oct. 12, 1949, and who died May 6, 2005; her daughter, Susan Marie Bruner, who died in 1957; three brothers, Albert, Arthur and Stephen Clouse; one sister, Margaret Young; and her dog, Keisha, in 2004.
BRUNER — Friends of Helen E. Bruner, who died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. Main St. Ext. The Rev. Nick Argentieri, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, North Oakland.Memorial donations may be made to the Butler Meals on Wheels 218 E.
