Freda Burnett Stone, 88, of Argentine passed away Tuesday at the Butler Inpatient VNA Hospice.

Freda was born Oct. 20, 1928, in Claytonia, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Charles Burton Hilliard and the late Blanche Frances Heller Hilliard. She attended the Argentine Methodist Church and lived her entire life in Butler County. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

She was the loving wife of the late Robert E. Stone. Together, they shared 63 years of marriage.

Freda is survived by her son, William Burton Stone, and his wife, Cindy, of Caldwell, N.J.; two grandchildren, Mary Kate Kelly and her husband, Matthew, of Netcong, N.J., and Tyler Stone of Caldwell, N.J.; one brother, Jim Hilliard of Unionville; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Stone; two sisters; and two brothers.

STONE — Friends of Freda Burnett Stone, who died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ed Dixon officiating.
