Butler PoliceWednesday — Cody Lee Reynolds, 30, of Butler was charged with illegally staying at his mother’s apartment on South Cliff Street last month. Police said Reynolds is on the Butler County Housing Authority trespass list. The authority owns the apartment where his mother lives.Police Jan. 17 learned that he had been staying there for the past several days. He has been barred from authority-owned properties since Nov. 19, court documents said.Reynolds is charged with defiant trespass.Wednesday — Police charged with Tracy S. Van Horn, 46, of Butler Township with being more than twice the legal limit for alcohol stemming from a crash last month in the 100 block of West Cunningham Street.Van Horn about 1:45 p.m. Jan. 21 lost control of her car and struck three vehicles parked along the road. Paramedics were treating the suspect when police arrived.Officers smelled a “strong odor” of alcohol coming from the suspect and she appeared impaired, according to court documents. While speaking to her, an officer had to grab Van Horn to prevent her from falling over.She was taken to the station where she was given a breath test, which showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.192 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.Van Horn is charged with driving under the influence.

Butler Twp PoliceMonday — Police filed a list of charges against a Kittanning man stemming from a traffic stop last month on Buttercup Road. The suspect, Steven A. Houser, 25, is charged with driving with an altered or counterfeit license plate, a misdemeanor.Additionally, he is charged with traffic violations, including driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without valid inspection, fraudulent use of a license plate and driving with faulty tires.Monday — Tara L. Hockenberry, 24, and Joshua M. McBride, 25, both of Butler, were charged with giving bogus names to police during a call last month.Police found the pair about 3:30 a.m. Jan. 17 at the Super 8. Both are charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities.Sunday 12:47 a.m. — Wesley M. Gibson, 39, of Lyndora allegedly was caught with drug contraband following an incident at a home on Logan Avenue.Officers were called to the home and found Gibson was impaired on drugs, according to a police report. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.3:48 p.m. Jan. 22 — Two Butler boys, ages 16 and 17, were caught loitering around homes on Kohler Avenue where they allegedly tried to enter several vehicles.The youths, who police did not identify, are both charged with loitering and prowling at night. They were later released to their parents.

State Police, Butler2 a.m. Monday — Raymond Christopher Robinson Jr., 20, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs on Route 8 in Butler. Police said charges are pending lab results.Monday — A thief stole credit cards, a folding knife and $8 in currency from a vehicle at a home on Kemar Drive in Summit Township. The items, owned by a 31-year-old woman, were taken between 7 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday.Monday — Unspecified items were stolen from a vehicle on Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township. The property, owned by a 59-year-old woman, was taken between 3 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Monday.2:23 a.m. Sunday — Ashley L. Pisor, 26, of Karns City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs on Route 38 in Oakland Township. Charges are pending lab results.1:33 a.m. Saturday — Two out-of-county men were arrested for public intoxication and other charges after police found them in a grassy area behind a vehicle partially parked on the New Castle Road in Worth Township.The suspects — Tramar R. Kiraly, 21, of Monaca, Beaver County, and Gage A. Durler, 18, of Bellevue, Allegheny County — both gave troopers bogus names. When police learned the suspects’ identities, they discovered that Kiraly was wanted on an arrest warrant by McKees Rocks police in Allegheny County.A search of Kiraly, according to a police report, turned up suspected cocaine and marijuana, and numerous pills and drug contraband.Kiraly was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, false identification to law enforcement authorities and public drunkenness. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail following arraignment.Durler was arraigned on charges of false identification to law enforcement authorities, public drunkenness and underage drinking. He was placed in the county prison on $1,500 bail.Saturday — Michael P. Conroy, 26, of Butler Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Covert Road in Brady Township.Saturday — Police are investigating a pair of weekend crimes at the Pine Glenn Apartments in Slippery Rock Township.In one of the cases, unspecified property was taken from the home of a 21-year-old Slippery Rock woman. The theft happened between 9:32 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.In the other case, a 21-year-old Slippery Rock Township woman had a wallet stolen. Later, about 4 a.m. Saturday, someone tried to use the victim’s credit card that was in the wallet.

State Police, Clarion8:33 p.m. Saturday — Delbert T. Hockenberry, 58, of Rimersburg was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a 60-year-old woman during a domestic dispute in the 600 block of Lawsonham Road in Madison Township.Hockenberry was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Clarion County Jail on $10,000 bail.State Police, Kittanning3:15 p.m. Friday — Joseph D. Burello, 36, of Valencia was hurt in a four-vehicle crash in East Deer Township, Allegheny County. The chain-reaction wreck happened when a pickup truck driven by Stephen J. Vashie, 49, of Sarver abruptly stopped on Route 28 north just north of Bailes Run Road.Samuel P. Kostyak, 22, of Pittsburgh was unable to stop his sport utility vehicle and rear-ended Vashie’s truck. Moments later, Burello’s pickup struck the back of Kostyak’s truck, and a car driven by Rebecca L. Dudley, 28, of Pittsburgh rear-ended Burello’s vehicle.Burello was taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights with minor injuries.State Police, New Castle2:46 a.m. Monday — John P. Dombeck, 23, of Wampum was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 65 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
