BUTLER CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will have special music by Gordon Thompson Sunday.

CHRIST OUTREACH

Christ Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will have guest speakers Larry and Deborah Minninger from Lamplighters International Missionaries to Eastern Europe at the Sunday worship service.

Pastor Fred will lead the children’s church.

COMMUNITY LIFE

Community Life Church holds service at McQuistion Elementary School.

There will be a men’s Bible study at 9 a.m. Sunday.

COVENANT PRESBYTERIAN

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will receive the noisy offering of loose change during the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service. The proceeds of the offering will be donated to the Refreshing Springs Ministry, a project of the Beaver-Butler Presbytery in the Ambridge-Aliquippa area.

The monthly cleaning day will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday.

FIRST BAPTIST

The ladies Bible study of First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will be at 7 p.m. today at the Dittmer home.

The senior class of First Baptist Christian School will have a Valentine’s banquet at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Community Alliance Church

The women’s missionary fellowship will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church.

FIRST BAPTIST OF EVANS CITY

The Foundations men’s group will meet at 7 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 242 S. Washington St., Evans City.

FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will celebrate Holy Communion by intinction at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday worship services.

GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, will be open from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St. The clothing bank provides one large bag per family.

Ladies’ night out will begin at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at Rock Ann Haven, 11 Greenwood Drive.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Tabitha Snyder will provide the special music during the Sunday worship service.

HIGHLAND PRESBYTERIAN

Highland Presbyterian Church, 310 Franklin St., Slippery Rock, will host a joint worship service with Center Presbyterian Church of Slippery Rock at 11 a.m. Sunday. There will be special music by the combined choirs. A fellowship hour will follow the worship service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The deacons of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., will host a “Souper Bowl” luncheon following the Sunday worship service. Take a can of soup for the food cupboard.

Wednesdays on the Hill will resume Feb 1. Youth handbells will be at 4:30 p.m. and music at 5 p.m. Kids Club for age 3 to fourth grade will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Club 56, Jump Start 78, and Delve 912 will be 5:30 to 7 p.m. each Wednesday.

A time of prayer and musical praise will be from 6:40 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, and adult Bible study will be from 7 to 7:45 p.m.

MARS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, will have baptism at the 11 a.m. Sunday service with the Rev. William Jackson officiating.

The youth group will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday to prepare the spaghetti dinner fundraiser. Dinner will start at 5 p.m.

WIC will meet in the church at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

SAINT ANDREWS UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St., will celebrate the Lord’s Supper Sunday.

K.I.C.K. will be at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday for preschool through fifth grade.

Church youth will have pots in the narthex for souper bowl of caring offerings for the Salvation Army’s efforts to alleviate hunger in Butler.

The youth group will host a soup luncheon in the memorial room after worship. Take a dessert to share. Luncheon donations will benefit the youths’ local mission efforts.

The 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

SPRINGDALE LUTHERAN

The Friendly Fellowship Group of Springdale Lutheran Church, 1061 Mahood Road, West Sunbury, will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The Rev. Dennis E Protzman will be the guest pastor Sunday.

Bill Oehlschlager will be the guest lay minister Feb. 5.

The ministry of the month is Grace’s Closet.

The church council meeting has been changed to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 7.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, has rescheduled parents night out to 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

Youths will leave the church at 5 p.m. Friday for Youth Quake. They will return Sunday for lunch and a meeting.

The Rev. Matt Geppert of the Southeast Prayer Center will be the guest pastor Sunday. The annual meeting and lunch will be at noon. Take a family-sized dish to share.

Family ministries will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday and from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Hattie Cooper Room.

The bell choir will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The sewing ministry will meet at 10 a.m. Feb. 2.

ST. MARK'S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN

The youth of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will leave from the church Friday afternoon for Youth Quake and return Sunday afternoon. For the schedule, contact the youth director.

The bell choir will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The sanctuary choir will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

ST. PAUL ROMAN CATHOLIC

St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., will celebrate a Mass in Spanish at 2 p.m. Sunday.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

The women’s Bible study of Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will meet at 10 a.m. Feb. 2.
