Butler Police12:42 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Lee Harless, 48, of Butler struck the rear of a car driven by Katie Delsignore, 33, of Slippery Rock on Center Avenue. Kimberly Peters, 58, of Butler, a passenger in Delsignore’s car, received unspecified injuries. Harless was cited for fleeing the scene of an accident and careless driving. Harless told police when he hit his brakes, his vehicle “took off,” leading to the wreck. He also told police he left the scene to get his insurance card.

Butler Twp Police6:04 p.m. Saturday — John A. Jordan, 43, of Slippery Rock was charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing an Xbox controller worth $31 from the Walmart in Butler Commons.11:46 a.m. Saturday — A vehicle driven by Marcus R. Corso, 20, of Butler struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Bryan E. Goins, 45, of Indianapolis that was slowing down on New Castle Road. Corso was cited for careless driving.12:10 p.m. Friday — A car driven by James W. Freehling III, 44, of Saxonburg and a car driven by Marjorie Stewart, 68, of Butler collided on New Castle Road. The impact caused Stewart’s vehicle to collide with a car driven by Carmen Glasso, 51, of Butler. Freehling was cited for not making a proper entrance onto a highway and driving with a suspended license.7:30 a.m. Dec. 13 — A 15-year-old Butler boy was charged with possession and distribution of a noncontrolled substance on Butler High School property after allegedly selling two prescription pills to a 15-year-old Evans City girl. She was charged with illegal procurement of the drug.5:02 p.m. Dec. 3 — Justin M. Sanderson, 27, of Butler was charged with giving false identification to law enforcement after allegedly giving a false name to police after they responded to a call about a person slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle on Wilkes Avenue.10:03 p.m. Nov. 24 — Lauren George, 26, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a call about someone passed out in a vehicle at the intersection of South Duffy and Evans City roads.2:26 a.m. Nov. 20 — Josh W. Powers, 26, of Butler, William J. Swaney, 21, of Butler and Kyle E. Toth, 26, of Butler were charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after police responded to a fight at the Eat ’n Park on New Castle Road. The door to the restaurant was broken during the fracas.

State Police, Mercer7:18 a.m. Dec. 20 — A minivan driven by Tamara Leipheimer, 57, of Fredonia and an SUV driven by Samantha Arp, 24, of Jefferson, Ohio, collided on Leesburg-Grove City Road in Springfield Township. The minivan’s passenger, a 16-year-old girl, sustained a suspected minor shoulder injury.
