State Police, Butler1:25 p.m. Dec. 4 — Barry D. Ray, 73, of Petrolia, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a one-vehicle accident in Petrolia. Police said Ray’s car hit a building at 108 Main St. and left the scene. Ray was later identified as the driver and arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. A breath test determined he had a blood-alcohol level of .142 percent, police said.

State Police, Kittanning1:47 a.m. Wednesday — Police said Jeffrey E. Piper of Sarver was driving a GMC Envoy on Route 28 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County, when it left the road and hit a guardrail, which disabled the vehicle. Police said Piper left the scene. No injuries were reported. The Envoy was towed.Nov. 18 — Dec. 18: Between the dates listed, someone stole a red and black Storm Cat 800W generator from underneath the front porch of a residence on Paraski Road in Bradys Bend Township.2:39 p.m. Dec. 18 — A two-vehicle accident happened Sunday on Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township.Police said James E. Magnani, 75, of Chicora was driving a Chevrolet pickup south on Magnani Lane and entered Route 68 without coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. He did not see Gary E. Frye, 52, of Chicora, who was driving a Mazda CX-5 west on Route 68, and hit the pickup truck’s driver’s side bumper.Magnani was not injured. Neither Frye nor his two passengers were injured. The pickup truck sustained minor front-end damage, while the Mazda sustained front-end damage and was towed.Police said Magnani was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign.
