HARMONY — A borough man Tuesday waived charges against him for an alleged assault on his wife earlier this month.

Willard G. Glass, 35, was arrested after allegedly assaulting his wife, Kasey, at the couple’s Swain Hill Road home early in the morning of Dec. 10.

He is charged with simple assault and harassment.

Police reports state the couple had been drinking alcohol and got into a verbal altercation.

Reports said Kasey Glass has a small abrasion around her left eye and red markings around her right eye, both cheeks and the right side of her neck.

She allegedly was held to the ground against her will by her husband in the couple’s living room.

“Allegedly, he (Willard) began choking her as he held his hands to her throat and covered her mouth,” the report states.

Kasey Glass was able to yell for another member of the household to call for help.

Willard Glass alleged that his wife began hitting his foot with a cell phone while he was trying to sleep on the couch.

“Next, Willard claimed that there was a verbal argument with Kasey over the destruction of electronics in the household,” the report states.

He said he restrained his wife by placing his hands near her shoulders and chest while on top of her, but denied choking her.

Willard Glass was released on $10,000 unsecured bail at his preliminary hearing Tuesday with Judge Wayne Seibel. Seibel also removed a no contact order.

He will be formally arraigned in Butler County Court on Jan. 31.
