CRANBERRY TWP — Four suspects were arrested last week after allegedly leaving Walmart without paying for $3,746 worth of merchandise.

Brandon P. Henderson, 28, of Butler; Robert J. Russell, 33, of Smithton, Westmoreland County; Jennifer L. Russell, 35, of Belle Vernon, Fayette County; and Lance Chacko, 33, of Monongahela, Washington County were pulled over by Cranberry Township police in a Chevrolet Equinox just outside the store’s parking lot Saturday afternoon.

Police allegedly found electronics inside the vehicle including a Roku device and a Lenovo tablet. Some of the items still had spider-wire and other security sensors, according to court records.

Also, when searching the vehicle officers reported finding a white hat with a syringe and a metal spoon inside it. Jennifer Russell also allegedly had an empty stamp bag in her purse.

The suspects were charged with felony counts of conspiracy, retail theft, destroying inventory control tags and receiving stolen property. Three of them also are facing drug charges and Henderson was charged with possession of an instrument of crime after he was found with a razor blade, allegedly used to cut security devices.

They were arraigned that night by District Judge Dave Kovach and all four were still in Butler County Prison on various bail amounts as of today.
