GO WEST, YOUNG MAN
Butler senior pitcher Cade Negley, with Golden Tornado athletic director Bill Mylan here, recently signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and baseball career at Santa Clara University in California. Negley was 7-1 with a 1.50 earned run average for Butler last spring and had 45 strikeouts in 40 innings. He also considered Morehead State, Penn State, Pitt and Kent State before opting for Santa Clara.
