PITTSBURGH — The FBI and federal prosecutors in Pittsburgh plan to detail the takedown of an international cybercrime ring with ties and victims in Western Pennsylvania.

The feds and the European Union police agency last week announced the sweep of the Avalanche network, which is credited with inflicting hundreds of millions of dollars in losses worldwide and the arrests of five key suspects in custody.

Related documents are being unsealed in Pittsburgh today and will be discussed at a news conference at the FBI’s Pittsburgh office.
