A chain-reaction crash this morning on Route 8, just south of the General Richard Butler Bridge, left three vehicles damaged, but no one was seriously injured.

The crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. when a Honda Odyssey from Golden Oldies DJ Services was traveling north in the left lane on Route 8 and stopped to make a left turn near Butler Tires for Less. A Honda CR-V stopped behind it, but a Ford SUV didn’t.

The Ford sustained front end damage when it hit the Honda CR-V, causing the CR-V to hit the Odyssey. The Odyssey had rear damage. The CR-V had both front and rear damage.

Officials said there were a few complaints of minor injuries, but no one was transported.

It took more than 30 minutes to clear the road. In the meantime, traffic was directed around the scene of the crash.
