NEW CASTLE — A man who police say threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and police officers is dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after he barricaded himself in his home.

New Castle police say Troy Glenn Addy killed himself after a brief standoff Saturday morning.

Police say Addy forced his way into his ex-girlfriend’s home, put a gun to his ex-girlfriend’s head and threatened her before he left, telling her he’d kill police officers before killing himself.

Police say officers went to the house and attempted to negotiate with Addy for a couple hours.
