Route 8 accident
A West Penn Power worker repairs a damaged utility pole along Route 8 in Middlesex Township that was struck by a Waste Management garbage truck around 2 p.m. Thursday. There was no medical transport. Both northbound lanes of the highway were closed following the accident, which occurred near Twin Willows Auto Sales. Northbound traffic was diverted to use the middle turning lane. All lanes were opened around 7:30 p.m.
