Butler Twp PoliceWednesday — Christopher B. Pitzer, 23, of Butler was charged with a pair of criminal charges and four traffic violations stemming from a traffic stop about 9:30 p.m. Oct. 24 on Route 8 north.Police said they found a baggie of suspected marijuana and a marijuana grinder during a search of the vehicle.Pitzer is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving without a license, driving a vehicle without valid inspection and driving a vehicle with a faulty exhaust system.Wednesday — Police charged Trisha L. Holko, 45, of Butler in connection with an attempted false return scheme at the Ulta Beauty store at the Butler Crossing shopping plaza. She also is accused of shoplifting a $66 bottle of perfume.The suspect left the store but returned Nov. 2. An employee recognized the woman and notified authorities. Holko is charged with receiving stolen property and retail theft.5:09 p.m. Monday — Theodore R. Simon, 55, was caught burning yard waste after 5 p.m. He was cited for violating the township’s burning ordinance.
Slippery Rock Police9:38 p.m. Oct. 29 — A Beaver County man was arrested for drunken driving after his pickup truck collided with a sport utility vehicle at Franklin Street and Grove City Road. The suspect, Joshua H. Lesack, 22, of Aliquippa is accused of turning into the path of the other driver.Police suspected Lesack was intoxicated and he was taken for a breath test, according o court documents, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.140 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.Lesack is charged with driving under the influence and making an improper left turn.
State Police, Butler3:09 a.m. Sunday — Marc A. Blodgett, 29, and Allyshia M. Shaffer, 27, both of Butler allegedly broke into a 51-year-old woman’s vehicle on Cemetery Road in Slippery Rock Township. Police said both suspects face charges of theft from a vehicle.
State Police, Franklin11:50 p.m. Tuesday — A 61-year-old Stoneboro man, whose name was not released, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle ended in a ditch on Georgetown Road in Irwin Township.1:23 p.m. Tuesday — A pickup driven by a person from St. Petersburg, Clarion County, whose name and age were not released, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Carol Runyan, 28, of Emlenton collided at Airport and Home roads in Richland Township, Venango County.The pickup’s driver, according to a police report, was cited for not stopping at a stop sign.
State Police, Mercer1 a.m. Wednesday — William D. Metheney, 47, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he lost control of his pickup truck and struck a ditch on Route 208 just east of the Glen Lake Mobile Home Park in Pine Township, Mercer County.Metheney, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury.Monday — Christian J. Rhodes, 43, of Mercer was arrested on charges he failed to comply with the requirements for sex offenders after he moved and did not register his new home in the 800 block of Franklin Road in Jackson Township, Mercer County.Rhodes was arraigned on a felony charge of failing to verify his address with state police. He was later released on the charge on $15,000 unsecured bail.
