BUTLER TWP — Pennsylvania State Rep. Brian Ellis, R-11th, will hold veterans assistance hours on a special day this month in honor of Veterans Day.

Area veterans are invited Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to Ellis’ district office, 6 Chesapeake St., Suite 200.

Larry Michaelis, department service officer with the American Legion, will meet with veterans and their families to assist with compensation, pension, death benefits, education and health care issues. Veterans do not need to be a member of the American Legion to attend.

The veteran outreach is typically on the second Friday of the month, but the schedule has been changed this year for Veterans Day.
